Who does ‘we’ become?

“Der Klumpen” is both thing and human. It is the emergence of the individual from the crowd, the delight of disorientation and the challenge of collaboration. It is the mobilization of the matter of the body, and reconceptualization of identity beyond gender or individual. It demonstrates a real time intense struggle and persistence of the human body, over time the dancers have developed a technique to move safely together as a group, however the risk of being crushed is real and viscerally felt.
