In “Strange Loops”, the performers create a space that brings people and seemingly contradictory cultural experiences together. The artists are particularly interested in the different intensities, exuberant energies, harmonies and disharmonies, sense and nonsense, that arise from this encounter. Created through the desire to bring together unlikely cohorts (techno and yodeling), while also brining together artists of different disciplines (two singers, two dancers, a dj and a lighting designer.) The work invites the audience into a space that resembles a techno club. The performance is as much about the interaction between the audience members and the space as it is about the performers.
